Jane’s work helped JobWorks to better serve people who lost their jobs through no fault of their own, young people seeking to find their career path, veterans seeking post-military civilian employment, those with disabilities and others. I would give her an assignment such as we need to serve 150 people in a particular program so put together a plan. Once approved, she would execute the plan until fulfilled including all reporting required by our primary funding body, the U.S. Department Of Labor.

Jane’s talents are top-shelf.  She found great speakers for several special events and worked with graphic artists to create attention-grabbing material.  In fact, one program drew such a strong response that we had to cut short our ad buy as we reached our registration limit sooner than expected.

I know that in the work we did together, we changed the perception about hiring those with disabilities throughout Indiana, Southern California, and beyond.

Do what we did: hire Jane and hit a home run!”

I can always count on Jane.  I knew she would deliver more than I expected on time and complete.  She always improved on my ideas, sometimes in subtle ways, sometimes with big surprises.  I trusted her and she never let me down.

She knows so much about so many diverse subjects that it scares me.  Toss an idea to her and watch what happens.

If Jane says she’ll deliver, if she says tomorrow her project will arrive tomorrow, and if she smiles you know you will get a remarkable product on time and on budget.  Count on her.

We worked on a dozen promotions that we created together and each one allowed my organization to take another big step.  Jane heard what we wanted to accomplish and provided ideas that reinforced our brand and reputation.

Jane Applegate is a successful, high energy marketing and branding specialist with a proven track record of producing results for her clients.

When I arrived at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art in 2003, Jane was the leader of the Museum’s young member cultivation team, the Articulates, and in that role she created and directed a very popular monthly event for young adults called Club Art that attracted a great many new members to the Museum.

Then, she created and directed for more than a decade the hugely successful Chalk Walk that still attracts hundreds of artist participants each summer and thousands of spectators who attend to watch those artists create exciting images in chalk on the hot pavement of Fort Wayne’s Main Street which is directly in front of the Museum.

These programs are but a few of the bevy of successful events and programs that Jane has developed over the years!

Jane Applegate demonstrates that rare combination of creativity and detail orientation. She’s worked for 3 of the 4 DID presidents.

In this capacity, she’s been contracted to create and manage DID community event programming; raise funds for events during a different program year; consulted and delivered on a number of other projects including HollyTrolley Shopping our kick off to downtown holiday shopping, and grew attendance by adding strategic components to our indoor golf outing to benefit the DID Downtown Planter Program. Jane is a bundle of energy and a good addition to any team.

Bill Brown, President Downtown Improvement District (DID), Retired

I met Jane at an open house for my own business, a language translation firm. I asked if she’d like to work for my growing business but she had a full-time job and wasn’t available. Her misfortune became my luck. The very next day she was laid off directly due to the circumstances of September 11, 2001. She started working for me the following Monday and ExitZero began.

Jane managed and delivered Latinos County Community Summit, a forum to spotlight and raise awareness about community needs and issues important to Hispanics, Latinos and others within the business community. Her very first task was to collect past due sponsorship from our inaugural event and to this day, that sponsor asks how Jane is doing every time we talk. Thanks Jane. We really appreciate your hard work.
